Elizabeth, Office Manager/Veterinary Technician
Elizabeth has been with us since September of 2013. She graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor’s in Animal Science with a Pre-Vet option in 2012. She will more than likely be the face you see when you walk in the door. Elizabeth adores getting to know the clients and their fur babies! When not at work she enjoys gardening, landscaping, fishing, and working on her 20 acre farm. Elizabeth and her husband are enjoying their new house with their dog Bruiser, cats Peter and Mama, and horse Red.
Rachel, Registered Veterinary Technician
Rachel is a Fear-Free Certified Registered Veterinary Technician from Junction City, KS. She graduated with her Associate’s in Veterinary Technology from Brown Mackie College – Salina in 2017. Rachel’s critters consist of a Netherland Dwarf Rabbit, Nova, an African Pygmy Hedgehog, Galileo, two Green Cheek Conures, Castor and Pollux, two Guinea Pigs, Andromeda and Aurora, and a Betta Fish named Orion. Rachel is planning to eventually go back to school to get her Bachelor of Biology degree to become a zookeeper. In her free time, Rachel enjoys bowling, playing softball, and watching way too much HGTV and Food Network on TV.
Shelby, Veterinary Technician
Shelby is a Fear Free Certified Veterinary Technician. She was raised as an Air Force child and has traveled a lot during her life. Her father retired in Arkansas and they lived there for eight years. While there, Shelby attended Arkansas State University and obtained an Associates degree in veterinary technology in 2012. Shelby and her husband moved to Texas after her husband joined the military. They then were stationed here at Fort Riley in December of 2016. Even though Shelby has only been with us for a short time, she has been a great addition to our team. Shelby enjoys time outside with her husband and daughter while they play with their Great Dane – Sherlock, Boxer – Tessa, and Dachshund – Zoey. They also have one bird, named Turbo.
Rhiannon joined our team in June of 2017. She is a Kansas State University graduate, with a Bachelors in Animal Science. She has 10 years of experience in small animal medicine in Topeka and Kansas City. When she is not at work she keeps busy taking care of her four dogs, two cats, two geckos, and one ball python.
Sarah, Veterinary Technician/Receptionist
Sarah originally worked solely at the Junction City clinic, but since deciding to attend K-State in pursuit of her DVM. Sarah is from Kansas City, MO but has lived the majority of her life in Junction City due to her father serving in the military. She has a house full of animal companions; cats, dogs, hamsters, and birds. In her off time she enjoys reading, attending live music events, and watching football with her four-legged friends. You may see Sarah’s smiling face at the front desk or she may be assisting in your furry friend’s appointment; she is multi-faceted.
Natalia, Veterinary Technician
Natalia is a Fear Free Certified Veterinary Technician who joined our team after moving to Kansas from Arizona, where she earned her certificate in Veterinary Assisting and associate’s in Arts & Sciences. She currently has two dogs; a heeler mix named Athena and a miniature poodle named Nana. In addition, she has a Holland Lop, Thumper and a Guinea pig, Squiz. During her free time, Natalia enjoys going on long walks by the lake with her husband and dogs.
Ariana, Veterinary Technician
Ariana is originally from Mckinney, TX. She moved to Kansas, where she completed her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science in 2018 at Kansas State University. She has a Beta fish named Francois, and hopes to add another companion soon. In her free time, Ariana enjoys curling up on the couch and watching movies.
Amy, Veterinary Technician/Receptionist
Amy is originally from Webb City, MO. She moved to Ogden, KS from Clarksville, TN after her husband was stationed at Ft. Riley. Amy has completed a Veterinary Assistant program at Franklin Technology Center, and is happy to assist you during your furry friend’s appointment. Amy has one son, Carsen, and two four-legged sons, Ticho, a Chihuahua, and Bowzer, a leopard Gecko. In her free time, Amy loves to read and work on DIY projects that she rarely finishes.
Shayanna, Veterinary Assistant
Shayanna is originally from Norco, CA. In 2012, she moved to Lincoln, NE to begin her bachelor’s degree at the University of Lincoln, studying Animal Science with the intention of going to vet school. Shayanna decided in 2017 to instead pursue her masters degree in Equine Reproduction. She then transferred to Kansas State University in 2019 to pursue her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science Bioscience/Biotechnology, and will continue her education by applying for her masters degree in Equine Reproduction. She has a step-son named William with her fiance. She also has 3 feline kiddos: Jon, Danearys, and Arya. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time planning her wedding, reading, and doing outdoor activities with her family!
Keri, Veterinary Assistant
Keri is a Fear Free Certified Veterinary Assistant. She is originally from Wisconsin, but moved to Manhattan in 2018 to pursue her DVM. Keri received her Bachelor’s in Biology from UW-Platteville in 2018 and is anticipated to obtain her DVM in 2022. Keri hopes to one day own her own mixed animal practice to work with large animals and perform small animal surgeries. In her spare time, Keri loves to go hiking with her dog, Elton or play with her two pet rats, Chunk and Felicity. Keri also enjoys going to rodeos, four-wheeling and shooting archery.
Alex, Veterinary Assistant
Alex is a Fear Free Certified Veterinary Assistant. She is a vet student at KSU originally from Cleveland Ohio. Following her DVM she plans on pursuing a PhD in virology also at KSU. Her zoo includes a dog, bearded dragon, corn snake, 2 axolotls, a betta, and 6 tarantulas. When not studying or working she enjoys reading and doing art.
Deberra, Professional Groomer
Deberra is from Junction City, KS. Her father is a retired Master Sargent and her mother owns a local restaurant that has been in business for over 30 years. She graduated from the Academy of Dog Grooming Arts in Chicago, Il in 2005. She has been working in veterinary hospitals since as a groomer, veterinary assistant, and practice manager. Deberra has 2 kids, Marston and Keegan. She also has 3 dogs and a cat. In her free time, Deb like’s to spend time with her kids and pets. Her long-term goals are to receive her master grooming certification and to start in competitive grooming. Deberra’s interests in grooming include hand stripping and Asian Fusion grooming.
