Elizabeth, Office Manager/Veterinary Technician
Elizabeth has been with us since September of 2013. She graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor’s in Animal Science with a Pre-Vet option in 2012. She will more than likely be the face you see when you walk in the door. Elizabeth adores getting to know the clients and their fur babies! When not at work she enjoys gardening, landscaping, fishing, and working on her 20 acre farm. Elizabeth and her husband are enjoying their new house with their dog Bruiser, cats Peter and Mama, and horse Red.
Rachel, Registered Veterinary Technician
Rachel is a Registered Veterinary Technician from Junction City, KS. She graduated with her Associate’s in Veterinary Technology from Brown Mackie College – Salina in 2017. Rachel’s critters consist of a Netherland Dwarf Rabbit, Nova, an African Pygmy Hedgehog, Galileo, two Green Cheek Conures, Castor and Pollux, two Guinea Pigs, Andromeda and Aurora, and a Betta Fish named Orion. Rachel is planning to eventually go back to school to get her Bachelor of Biology degree to become a zookeeper. In her free time, Rachel enjoys bowling, playing softball, and watching way too much HGTV and Food Network on TV.
Shelby, Veterinary Technician
Shelby was raised as an Air Force child and has traveled a lot during her life. Her father retired in Arkansas and they lived there for eight years. While there, Shelby attended Arkansas State University and obtained an Associates degree in veterinary technology in 2012. Shelby and her husband moved to Texas after her husband joined the military. They then were stationed here at Fort Riley in December of 2016. Even though Shelby has only been with us for a short time, she has been a great addition to our team. Shelby enjoys time outside with her husband and daughter while they play with their Great Dane – Sherlock, Boxer – Tessa, and Dachshund – Zoey. They also have one bird, named Turbo.
Lindsey, Veterinary Technician
Lindsey grew up in eastern Kansas with her parents and older brother. She moved to Manhattan to attend K-State where she’s working on her undergraduate in Animal Science. She plans on applying to vet school to follow her dream of becoming a large animal veterinarian. She has worked at Westside since August of 2015 and has loved every minute of it. She especially loves having a job where she gets to do what she’s passionate about. When not at work she can be found reading, fishing, fostering dogs, and enjoying the outdoors. Lindsey has a sweet Puggle named Reuben whom she’d give the world to.
Kelsey, Veterinary Technician
Kelsey is originally from Overland Park, KS. She has worked here at the clinic for the past year. She has a Bachelors degree in Animal Science from Kansas State University and is currently in her first year of vet school. Her goal after graduation is to go into small animal medicine. Some of Kelsey’s favorite things to do include playing fetch with her very cute dog Leo, working on arts and crafts, watching Netflix, and getting a nap in when she can.
Rhiannon joined our team in June of 2017. She is a Kansas State University graduate, with a Bachelors in Animal Science. She has 10 years of experience in small animal medicine in Topeka and Kansas City. When she is not at work she keeps busy taking care of her four dogs, two cats, two geckos, and one ball python.
Sarah, Veterinary Technician/Receptionist
Sarah originally worked solely at the Junction City clinic, but since deciding to attend K-State in pursuit of her DVM, she now works at both of our locations. Sarah is from Kansas City, MO but has lived the majority of her life in Junction City due to her father serving in the military. She has a house full of animal companions; cats, dogs, hamsters, and birds. In her off time she enjoys reading, attending live music events, and watching football with her four-legged friends. You may see Sarah’s smiling face at the front desk or she may be assisting in your furry friend’s appointment; she is multi-faceted.
Natalia, Veterinary Technician
Natalia joined our team after moving to Kansas from Arizona, where she earned her certificate in Veterinary Assisting and associate’s in Arts & Sciences. She currently has two dogs; a heeler mix named Athena and a miniature poodle named Nana. In addition, she has a Holland Lop, Thumper and a Guinea pig, Squiz. During her free time, Natalia enjoys going on long walks by the lake with her husband and dogs.
Caylee, Veterinary Assistant
Caylee is originally from Wichita, KS but has spent the last three years in Manhattan attending Kansas State University. She is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science with a minor in Philosophy, and aspirations to attend veterinary school. In her free time, she enjoys attending concerts, watching movies, and spending time with her family. Caylee currently has two cats; Joejoe and Wig.
Ariana, Veterinary Technician
Ariana is originally from Mckinney, TX. She moved to Kansas, where she completed her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science in 2018 at Kansas State University. She has a Beta fish named Francois, and hopes to add another companion soon. In her free time, Ariana enjoys curling up on the couch and watching movies.
Amy, Veterinary Technician/Receptionist
Amy is originally from Webb City, MO. She moved to Ogden, KS from Clarksville, TN after her husband was stationed at Ft. Riley. Amy has completed a Veterinary Assistant program at Franklin Technology Center, and is happy to assist you during your furry friend’s appointment. Amy has one son, Carsen, and two four-legged sons, Ticho, a Chihuahua, and Bowzer, a leopard Gecko. In her free time, Amy loves to read and work on DIY projects that she rarely finishes.
Emily, Veterinary Assistant
Emily is originally from a small town in southeast Kansas, Iola. She currently attends Kansas State Univeristy in pursuit of a degree in Animal Science, and plans to apply to vet school next fall. She has a 14-year-old rat terrier, named Skippy. In her free time, Emily enjoys barrel racing and rodeoing with her two horses, Goose and Poco.
